Position Summary:
The Klahaya Tennis Professional/Head Tennis Instructor is responsible for the planning and implementation of programming of junior and adult tennis, including lessons, team and activities. This individual will be responsive to all member inquiries/concerns work- ing to maximize member program satisfaction. Responsible for all aspects of Junior and
Adult programs including, but not limited to, development, program content, scheduling, supply ordering, evaluating staffing needs, interviewing, and training staff. The Head
Pro/Instructor reports to the Board of Directors, specifically the Board Tennis Director.
Required Qualifications:
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● USPTA or PTR Certified, preferred, or equivalent level of experience with tennis skills and performance at a competitive level.
● Have or prepared to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
● Experience managing employees and maintaining/growing a tennis program while improving the quality of activities.
● Ability to teach complex physical concepts with patience and compassion.
● Ability to effectively work with students of all ages, including children.
● Experience in behavior management and creating a positive learning environ- ment.

Duties / Responsibilities:
Tennis Pro will be responsible for four general programs: private lessons (group and in- dividual), Adult programming and two Junior tennis teams (World Team Tennis league and North End Junior Tennis League).
● Create weekly staffing schedules for Junior and Adult lessons, Junior team, and family events (see above).
● Consistently reach out to tennis and club members regarding options for play, co- ordination of tennis court usage and the promotion of various events.
● Work with Director of Tennis (Board of Directors) to identify staffing needs, post- ing job descriptions, and conducting interviews.
● Develops the skills of all tennis staff members.
● Maintain a physical presence at the Club to promote member interaction in club- sponsored events, mixers and tournaments.
● Develop and promote all Junior and Adult programs, including tennis clinics and private lessons and creates cross-marketing events when possible.
● Perform new member tennis evaluations.
● Send regular communications to the Tennis Director (BOD) with tennis-related requests for inclusion in club announcements, website, social media, etc. (an- nouncements, cancellations, promotion of upcoming events, sign-up’s, etc.).
● Work with Director of the North End Junior Tennis League to determine match schedule and attend meetings when necessary.
● Provide timely and responsive communications to all participants and members via email, text, social media and face-to-face interactions.
● Administer and officiates at tennis tournaments and inter- and intra-club events.
● Communicate any concerns/conflicts to Tennis Director (BOD) and reports any injuries immediately.
● Ensure that all members and guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to all their tennis needs.
● Establish and enforces club tennis policies and procedures regarding play on club courts and in tennis areas.
● Maintain clean, organized and visually appealing areas in and around all tennis courts and workspace and communicates any supply and maintenance needs.
● Comply with policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment law.
● Complete all other duties as directed/assigned.
