Description
The Temporary, Part-Time Graphic Designer receives direction from the Manager of Design & Marketing to complete specific jobs as assigned. Materials and access will be provided. Strong communications and technology skills are essential, as well as knowledge of design industry language. Part-time hours to be worked are flexible.
Travel will be required, as this position will work on both the Gloucester and Cumberland Campuses.
This is a temporary, part- time position, ending June 30, 2024.
Examples of Duties
- Applies department style guidelines and branding standards to all assigned projects.
- Maintains a schedule and keeps open communication about deadline expectations and assigned workload.
- Takes an established design and uses it to expand on additional materials for the marketing campaign or program, e.g. Open House.
- Uses provided text, photos, elements, etc. and works independently to create designs/layouts for various media (print, digital) to share with the manager for approval.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in graphic design or related field, or degree in progress required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a designer
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong customer service skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to and knowledge of a comprehensive community college philosophy and a student-centered learning environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including both evenings and weekends, which may include some travel
