The Montana Department of Transportation is recruiting for a Temporary Laborer in Great Falls. Responsible for performing manual labor involved in highway facility or equipment maintenance. Performs yard, building and rest area maintenance such as cleaning shop areas, general janitorial work, lawn care, snow removal and yard maintenance. Snow and debris removal using hand tools, ATV with plow or one-ton pickup. Picks litter, highway debris, animal carcasses. Performs routine pavement patch work on roads, assists with maintenance and repair of highway signs, guardrail and pavement markings. Works as a flagger. Washes equipment utilizing hand tools and steam cleaner. May be required to drive pickup to transport tools or equipment. Utilizes all basic hand tools, along with light duty equipment. Must be able to perform physical activity in lifting (greater than 50 pounds). Must work in all types of weather conditions, dirt, dust, moisture, temperatures and fumes.
Successful applicant must live within 45 road miles of the work headquarters.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- A valid Montana Driver's License is required.
- Successful applicant must live within 45 road miles of the work headquarters.
- Driver's record will be verified. Successful applicants will be required to sign a release form which authorizes the Department to obtain the applicant's permanent driving records. Compliance with Mont. Admin. R. 2.6.201, "State Vehicle Use," and MDT Policy # 6.03.001, "Addendum to Risk Management and Tort Defense Division State Vehicle Use Policy" are conditions of employment.
