Nature of Work
Essential Functions of Work
- Maintains the grounds at the Public Works Water Plant facility as well as at pump stations and reservoirs.
- Mows grass and sprays weeds; lays sod; waters and fertilizes grass and landscaped areas; applies pesticides.
- Performs general cleaning duties.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in parks, building and grounds maintenance desired.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain valid Montana driver’s license
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Requirements of Work
- Working knowledge of landscaping and grounds keeping.
- Working knowledge of fertilizers and pesticides.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and the general public.
