- Infrastructure Planning and Development:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the organization's technology infrastructure to support current and future needs.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to make recommendations for infrastructure enhancements.
- Network Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Server and Data Center Management:
- Manage the organization's server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
- Ensure server and data center resources' availability, performance, and security.
- Cloud Services Administration:
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS).
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.
- IT Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including troubleshooting, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain documentation of IT infrastructure and procedures.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts for technology products and services.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in a government or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, and cloud computing technologies.
- Experience with security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, or ITIL are a plus.
