Overview
We are looking to hire a talented Technical Writer to support our Federal client.
Duties and Responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience with technical writing
- Experience with Microsoft Word, including Styling, Formatting, Layout, and Accessibility Checks
- Experience working with technical subject matter experts
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Visio
- Ability to review, edit, and write large quantities of technical documentation within a reasonable timeframe
- Ability to communicate professionally, in a timely manner with team members and clients
- Ability to conduct independent research, as necessary to search for client solutions
- Ability to lead meetings with SMEs and leadership to discuss topics and issues related to technical documentation.
- Active Secret clearance
- Nice If You Have:
- • Experience with writing technical training documentation related to data management, analysis, visualization, and sharing tools, languages, and services
- • Experience with technical writing for public health missions
- • Experience with granting and maintaining SharePoint permissions
- • Knowledge of 508 accessibility standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Experience with writing technical training documentation related to data management, analysis, visualization, and sharing tools, languages, and services
- Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
- Experience with granting and maintaining SharePoint permissions
- Knowledge of 508 accessibility standards
