This is an on-site (5 days a week) position.
A typical day in the life of a Technical Services Engineer:
- Contribute to the development of projects to maintain infrastructure and improve reliability strategies.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs and identify and optimize spare parts required to support those activities.
- Develop basic opportunity identification, facilities and process modifications, and determine any repair or warranty needed for electrical and mechanical components.
- Conduct any reverse engineering of parts and assemblies.
- Attend engineering meetings and offer ideas to solve issues that are limiting production while interacting with maintenance, engineering, and process operators on the plant floor.
- Identify, manage, and develop suppliers that will be used at the plant, additionally developing outside suppliers for purchasing, repair, and re-engineering of OEM spare parts.
- Identify and develop effective documentation to measure and analyze inventory levels, lists of materials, purchased parts, equipment, and any miscellaneous items to support our manufacturing processes and production.
- You will be analyzing customer data and reviewing engineering drawings/blueprints to estimate quantity and type of materials and parts for our plant.
- Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- If you have 7 years of progressive work-related experience in the areas of maintenance manufacturing, managerial, or engineering ability that would be a good addition for this environment.
- Experience driving Continuous Improvement and having the Lean Six Sigma mindset and experience to identify root cause analysis, then offering alternative solutions for our success.
- Ability to read and interpret documents related to safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
- Experience in Machine Design and Build/Job Shop environment is a plus.
- Understanding of indirect materials, purchasing, inventory management, and calibration techniques/requirements is a plus.
