Technical Productions Technician I

The United Center, a premiere sports and entertainment facility and home of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bulls, is looking for a Rock Star. Someone who is a team player and is ready to take their career to a championship level.

General Responsibilities:

Our scope of services includes AV production solutions for corporate, social, live entertainment, staging and technology solutions for live events. The Technical Production Technician I, is responsible for supporting pre-event setup, in event operations and trouble shooting and post event strike.

Specific Duties: (Include but are not limited to)

• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and perform trouble shooting and repair as necessary.
• Arrange for factory/warranty repair of equipment as needed, including establishing RMA’s, preparing shipments and final testing when repaired items are received.
• Track the AV Schedule and prepare production kits accordingly.
• Keen understanding of cable management and terminations as it relates to audio-visual productions.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and emerging technologies.
• Possess good customer service skills and maintain working relationships with clients.
• Day of Game responsibilities as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The individual may be required to stand, walk, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms for up to 2/3 of the work shift. Occasionally, the individual may be required to lift up to 25 pounds, lifting a wide array of computer apparatus.

Education:

Experience:

• Ability to work with and troubleshoot basic audio, video and lighting systems.
• Familiarity with terminology related to the live production environment.
• Ability to interface effectively with customers, peers, as well as executive level management.
