Technical Account Manager (TAM): The TAM is the customer's primary technical point of contact and is responsible for the success and health of the customer's cloud environment. The TAM is primarily the customer advocate who will work with Rackspace Cloud Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and other stakeholders to translate business and technical objectives into Rackspace solutions. TAMs provide impartial advocacy, ongoing support, and assistance for workloads; bring innovative technologies and products to the customer; and provide value-add insight to the customer to ensure cloud efficiency and operational excellence in a hands-off keyboard role.
This role is tightly tied to current and new service offerings which support customer while enhancing Fanatical customer experience.
Roles and responsibilities: -
Strong technical/product knowledge.
Knows how to mange & connect internally for escalations resolution.
Ability to handle asks independently.
Ability to conduct implementation calls.
Ability to present written and verbal proposals and grow the installed base. Understand invoicing, contracts, proposals, and renewals.
Escalates with guidance and receives escalations. Excellent creative problem- solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
Intelligently speak to customer technology capabilities, possibilities, and pitfalls -- recognizes, understands why and how to fix.
Owns coordination with Rackspace teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Recognizes gaps based on customer's current build and analyses for future gaps based on proposed changes, knows why specific options will work for customers and can explain the difference in recommendations.
Can guide customer through how to implement options.
Advanced understanding of technology partners and how they can assist our customers.

TAMs provide impartial advocacy, ongoing support, and assistance for workloads; bring innovative technologies and products to the customer; and provide value-add insight to the customer to ensure cloud efficiency and operational excellence in a hands-off keyboard role.
Knowledge: -
First-hand knowledge or experience in industry competitors, products, trends, and technology (HOW: usage of competitor technology).
Advanced knowledge of how to scale customer configurations using dedicated or cloud-based technology. Strong understanding of customer's strategy and profitability and how to use account management tools.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Professional Qualification expected:
o AWS Solutions Architect Associate
o AWS Solutions Architect Professional (Preferred)
o HashiCorp Terraform Associate (Optional)
Multi-Cloud skills will be an added advantage.
o AZ1-04 Azure Administrator
o Associate Google Cloud Engineer
Hands-on working experience on managing cloud infrastructure as a code.
o Advance level of work experience on Terraform, Cloud Formation.
Skilled with git and git workflows
Skilled in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment.
Ability to drive technical strategy of customer's cloud native transformation.
Leads others to solve complex problems.
Strong working knowledge and ability to follow company processes and procedures.
Strong knowledge of the configuration build process.
Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
Strong knowledge of Rackspace products and the ability to educate customers in Rackspace differentiators/comparisons and why they are used in different scenarios.
Able to prioritize a highly varied work level to maintain required productivity levels.
Able to demonstrate innovative problem solving and critical thinking.
Flexible and adaptable to work schedule based on customer need.
Minimum Qualifications: -
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.
Must be performing similar role in current organization.
8+ total IT experience (with minimum of 3-4 years AWS experience)
Excellent communication.
