Job Summary:
To provide safe, competent and ethical cardiology care to all patients. Provide leadership and direction to those employees with less technical experience.
- Generate a satisfactory quantity of output in a timely manner.
- Performs echocardiograms according to policy.
- Completes and properly documents all worked performed.
- Practices diagnostic cardiovascular procedures with awareness for safety, education, and infection control.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment used.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year experience on echo sonography.
- Current BLS required, RDCS certification preferred, ACLS preferred, Cardiovascular Technician Certification preferred.
- Must administer and successfully complete a minimum of 30 echocardiograms within the first 90-day period.
- Must perform a minimum of 50 echocardiograms per year to maintain competency.
