Position: Tech - Echo Sonographer
Assists the Cardiologist and Staff Physicians with testing. Demonstrates Echo Sonography skills needed for all positions. Demonstrates good patient care. Utilizes the appropriate leadership
skill in supervising students and providing feedback concerning student performance. Demonstrates good communication and problem-solving skills. Is a professional role model for personnel.
Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and employees. The ultrasound technologist will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precaution.

Qualifications
Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment. This must be obtained prior to employment. This must be obtained prior to providing patient care.
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiology Credentialing International (CCI) attempted within 18-24 months of hire date.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:

- Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
- Ability to show organization and leadership

- Near-Visual acuity and depth perception to examine exposed films for detail

- Bending and lifting (50-75 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling
- Electrical and radiant energy hazards are present
- Exposure to infectious organisms, agent, and toxic chemicals
