Orlando City joined Major League Soccer (MLS) as the league's 21st franchise in November 2013, becoming the first MLS team in the Southeast. The Lions began league play in March 2015. In 2019, Orlando City re-launched Orlando City B (OCB) to bridge the gap between its successful youth development academy and the First Team.

TITLE: Soccer Strategy Specialist

Orlando City Soccer Club invites dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Soccer Strategy Specialist within our esteemed Soccer Operations department. As a key member of our team, you will directly report to the VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director, contributing to the continued success of our organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with senior soccer leaders to create and execute plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Delve into comprehensive research and meticulous analysis, providing invaluable insights that underpin strategic decisions related to roster construction, Soccer Operations processes, and organizational structures.
- Provide a meticulous approach that ensures informed, data-driven choices, contributing to the refinement and excellence of our overall operations.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between departments and teams.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support decision-making strategy - subjects including team and player performance, financial metrics, and short to long-term strategy plans.
- Primary lead administration of the TMS and FIFA Clearing House to ensure good standing and compliance.
- Serve as a pivotal liaison bridging various Soccer Operations departments, driving the implementation of strategic enhancements to optimize efficiency and foster cross-departmental productivity.
- Emphasizing a harmonious collaboration between the strategy and analytics department and the scouting department.
- Coordinate soccer operations associate program.
- Create seamless synergies that elevate the overall performance of our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years' experience in strategy with a professional soccer club (or experience with a relevant third-party consulting company)
- Ability to responsibly handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience with project management is a plus.
- Proven expertise in collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders underscores a demonstrated ability to cultivate positive relationships and drive collective success.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary) and to occasionally travel (e.g. for in-person meetings)
- Applicants with a portfolio of projects available to be reviewed during the interview process will be given preference.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish, Portuguese, or French language skills are a plus)
- Strong knowledge of MLS rules and Regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills are a must.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, canvas, and similar software to create presentations.
