Sublimation Print Operator / Tech

Job Overview:

FitUSA Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sublimation Printer Operator with expertise in color management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Sublimation printing equipment, ensuring high-quality and accurate color reproduction in the production of custom apparel and promotional products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sublimation Printing Operation:

   • Operate and maintain Sublimation printers to produce high-quality prints on various materials.
   • Load and unload materials onto the printing equipment, ensuring proper setup and alignment.
   • Monitor print jobs to ensure consistency and quality throughout the production process.

2. Color Management:

   • Utilize color management tools and software to calibrate and profile printers for accurate color reproduction.
   • Perform regular color checks to maintain color consistency and make adjustments as needed.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve color-related issues to meet quality standards.

3. Material Handling:

   • Receive and organize materials for printing jobs, ensuring correct specifications and quantities.
   • Collaborate with the production team to manage inventory and restock materials as necessary.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

   • Conduct routine maintenance on Sublimation printers to ensure optimal performance.
   • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly, coordinating with maintenance personnel when necessary.

5. Quality Assurance:

   • Inspect printed materials for defects, inconsistencies, or color inaccuracies.
   • Implement quality control measures to meet or exceed customer expectations.

6. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of printing parameters, color profiles, and maintenance activities.
   • Provide detailed reports on color management processes and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Sublimation Printer Operator, preferably in the manufacturing of sportswear or promotional products.
• Strong knowledge of color theory, color management, and proficiency in using color measurement tools.
• Familiarity with Sublimation printing equipment, RIP software, and dye-sublimation processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Sublimation printing and color reproduction.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality prints.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Proven experience in Sublimation printing with a focus on color management.
