The Senior Designer will develop and produce compelling cover designs for a variety of fiction genres, working directly with freelance illustrators and designers. This role will be responsible for approximately 10 covers during each of the three seasons yearly. The Senior Designer, will also be responsible for other design assets on occasion, including endpapers, case stamps, and printed edges.
What you'll do:
- Concepting and designing layouts and type treatments for front book covers.
- Creating full jacket layouts and producing print-ready files for production.
- Designing additional assets including endpapers, case stamps, and printed edges.
- Researching and commissioning freelance illustrators and designers
What you'll bring:
- Strong sense of effective book cover design and typeography.
- Experience working with freelance illustrators and designers.
- Solid knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
Ideal Experience:
- 5 years of book cover design experience.
- Experience preparing files for print production.
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design (or equivalent working experience)
This role will have an annual salary of $70,000 - $85,000.
