Choice Tax Relief is seeking to hire an experienced remote Case Manager to serve our clients.
As a Case Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our tax resolution clients and serve as a liaison between them and our Tax Professionals to ensure that clients are updated, informed, and up to date with their documentation and tax compliance.
Qualifications
- At least three years of experience as a Case Manager in the Tax Relief industry
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skillset
- Experience with IRSLogics
- Experience with spreadsheets
- High degree of attention to detail, especially with respect to numbers
Responsibilities
- Onboarding clients via email and phone call after they have signed up for our services
- Preparing Forms 8821, 2848, and state equivalents and sending to clients
- Sending other requests — such as tax return preparation questionnaires, tax resolution financial analysis questionnaires, requests for bank statements and other documentation — to clients and following up with clients on these requests
- Checking quality and usefulness of documents submitted by clients
- Calling the IRS Practitioner Priority Line (yes, we use CallENQ) to perform compliance check and obtain transcripts
- Documenting all internal and external communication regarding the case, especially client communications, in IRSLogics
- Providing clients with a status update on their case at least every three weeks
- Preparing draft resolution analyses to present to Tax Professional for approval
- Assigning tasks to Sales and Tax Professionals as necessary to ensure that cases are worked as efficiently as possible and following up with these other team members on their tasks
- Making FTA requests with IRS Practitioner Priority Line
- Keeping track of client, IRS, and state deadlines to ensure that no deadlines are missed for the cases you work
- Portraying our services in the best possible light to clients (yes, even when the resolution is a full-payment IA with no penalty abatement) to minimize chargebacks and refund requests. This is essential to success as a Case Manager at a firm that sells best possible resolution to most clients.
