POSITION SUMMARY

This person will work in the R&D Center in either Miramar, FL. or Spartanburg, SC. The individual's primary task will be to test new rotating electric product launches. The individual will need organizational skills, the ability to follow instructions carefully, and mechanically inclined. Recording detailed measurements and observations is central to our work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the rotating electric PM team to drive new product launches

  • Collaborate with the Rotating Electric Product Management Team to lead daily R&D efforts

  • Operate lab equipment: thermal chambers, hardness testers, hand tools, mixers, presses, etc.

  • Perform testing and physical analysis

  • Prioritize and schedule tests on multiple platforms, procedures, and machines

  • Review data and document findings

  • Analyze and implement Engineering Change Requests

  • Participate in the development and implementation of global engineering change notice processes

  • Work with a cross-functional team

  • Review and analyze reports (warranty, failure, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills)

  • Minimum HS Diploma/GED with some college preferred.
  • Experience with micrometers, bore gauges, measuring calipers and other measuring equipment
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Automotive repair or parts experience highly desirable
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word & Access)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Multi-tasking
  • Detail-oriented and quality-minded
  • Reading and interpretation of CAD drawings
  • Ability to draw conclusions from test results
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment
