CPA firm specializing in bookkeeping, tax preparation, planning and accounting for individuals, small businesses and not for profits is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer, with California state tax experience . The Tax Preparer must have a minimum of 5-6 years of current work experience in a CPA firm.
The Tax Preparer candidate must have experience in completing complex tax preparation and having professional interaction with clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is interested in remote work.
Tax Preparer Required Skill Set
- Minimum of 5-6 years of CURRENT work experience in an accounting and tax preparation firm
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferable
- CPA License, working towards licensure or Enrolled Agent
- Experience with professional tax preparation software (Lacerte preferred)
- Computer proficiency including Outlook, MSWord, MS Excel, Adobe PDF
- Ability to research routine and complex tax issues
- Ability to work independently, monitor deadlines and set priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness and desire to learn
- Experience with QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online
- Ability to work closely with a team, assisting other team members when needed
- Warm and positive disposition, with an emphasis on integrity
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy with a positive attitude

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
