Job Description:

As a Substitute Teacher within the public school system, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently and effectively deliver instructional materials and provide guidance to students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of instruction and a positive learning environment.

• Conduct classroom management and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for students.

• Deliver lessons and instructional materials following the provided curriculum and lesson plans.

• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Establish rapport and maintain positive relationships with students, promoting respectful and inclusive

behavior.

• Implement effective behavior management techniques when necessary, ensuring a productive and focused

classroom environment.

• Provide clear instructions, explanations, and demonstrations to support student understanding and

engagement.

• Monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback to encourage continuous improvement.

• Follow school policies and procedures, including attendance tracking and completing required paperwork.

• Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure consistency in instruction and support for students.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and adhere to professional standards.

• Knowledge of instructional practices and ability to implement them appropriately.

• Understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.

• Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus.

• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt instruction as needed.

Experience Requirements:

• Working with diverse groups

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 60 college semester hours preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field (preferred but not required).

Other Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.

• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
