The Opportunity. Aero Precision is looking for a high energy, detail-oriented State and Local Tax Manager.
The Job.
- Lead State and Local tax compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all local state returns
- Perform Nexus analysis to ensure tax compliance is met in each State.
- Monitor sales and transactions to forecast potential tax implications in each State
- Act as a subject matter expert for all state and local income tax matters as they relate to business operations
- Assist with state tax provision and preparation of SALT related accruals, journal entries, and related account reconciliations
- Assisting with the implementation of process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5 - 7 years of experience with state tax
- Experience with tax determination engines (Avalara)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team
- 1-3 years of supervisor experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Proactive
- Flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Proven ability to multitask efficiently
- Experience in ERP systems, SAP strongly preferred
