Job Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of state and local income and franchise tax returns and associated workpapers, including extensions and quarterly estimates;
• Prepare the state tax provision at year end and support the quarterly tax provision process;
• Forecast state and local cash tax activity, including ownership of the roll forward and reconciliation of state tax GL accounts;
• Formulate the Company's state and Local Tax strategy;
• Monitor state tax law changes and communicate impacts to the broader team;
• Research various state and local technical tax issues and document the Company's conclusions;
• Manage notices from state and Local Tax authorities, including drafting and/or reviewing responses in a timely manner;
• Manage state and Local Tax audits across all tax types;
• Lead state and Local Tax aspects of M&A activities and business queries;
• Invest in the development and advancement of team members at all levels of the tax organization;
• Engage and align with internal and external business partners and advisors;
• Collaborate well within immediate team and across the entire ZoomInfo organization.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of tax experience in industry or public accounting; background in state and Local Tax matters preferred;
• Time management, organizational, and prioritization skills;
• Resilient, resourceful, and solutions-oriented;
• Cheerful attitude that contributes to a positive experience for all team members;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience working with OneSource or similar tax software;
• A willingness to learn new software and pursue ways to continuously improve and simplify processes;
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems a plus;
• Undergraduate degree required; MST and/or active CPA license preferred.

We are considering employees who are interested in a fully remote role, as well as those interested in working in a hybrid environment at any one of our six U.S. offices. At a minimum, all tax team members are required to travel to the Vancouver, WA office for a week at a time on a quarterly basis regardless of primary work location.

The US base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
