This is an in-office position. This position will require presence in the office.
This individual will lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. The role will have professional freedom and will come with a wide variety of responsibilities. To be successful at our firm and in this role, you have a knack for solving problems and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.
Focus areas for this role will include:
Technical:
- Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals, trusts / estates, businesses of all types, benefit funds and nonprofit organizations.
- Work with staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline.
- Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
- Prepares internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department.
Leadership:
- Lead a team of professionals to meet and exceed firm goals.
- Trains staff, reviews and evaluates their work.
- Coach or mentor a staff member to assist with enhancing their skills and further developing their career.
Client Relations:
- Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Manages multiple clients, budgets and production goals while appropriately billing clients for the services and guidance provided.
- Network, build relationships and attract new clients for the Firm.
Basic Requirements for this role:
- 3-5 years tax preparation experience.
- Current Texas CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
