We are looking for a Tax Specialist / Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting team! You will be responsible for tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll for our clients. This is a great opportunity to join an established firm in Meridian with an experienced team of tax accountants.
We are open to full-time and part-time applicants!
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and signs income tax returns, using own PTIN, in Drake Tax Software
- Performs payroll functions, mainly using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Enters bookkeeping transactions mainly using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Assembles, uploads, emails, or print returns
- Educates clients on strategies and procedures
- Reviews work with clients
- Prepares financial statements
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of tax preparation and bookkeeping experience is required
- Experience with Drake Tax Software and QuickBooks is preferred
- Strong ability to organize work projects
- Exceptional attention to details
- Skilled in prioritizing multiple time demands
- Represents the firm in a professional manner
- Enjoys working in a team environment
