Job Description
A fast-growing firm looking for an accountant with at least 4 years of tax preparation experience. We provide the opportunity for remote work as well as in office depending on what works best for each employee. We are a boutique firm and work exclusively with business owners, and those that are looking for more of a relationship with their CPA than normal. We work with clients in many different industries and provide an opportunity to become a well-rounded business advisor if that is a path that interests you. If your preference is to primarily prepare tax returns and do behind the scenes work, we are hiring for that path as well. Our positions are not super rigid, but rather custom tailored to the employee.
The person best suited for this position will be teachable, a quick learner, able to view taxes from an entrepreneurial point of view, and someone who wants to work hard and take pride in their work. Our culture is very important to us and sets us apart from most other CPA firms - we hold ourselves to an extremely high level of excellence and pride in our work, while at the same time ditching a lot of the well-established formalities that we find pointless, like formal dress and stuffy ways of communicating to name a few. This position will be responsible for preparing tax returns as well as some tax planning, with a potential to move into tax research and / or preparing Reviews and Compilations.
Company Description
We currently have around 20 employees and 350 client relationships, and while many CPA firms are nearing the end of their life, ours is just gearing up. We are growing very healthily and looking to strengthen our already tight team of tax preparers and consultants. Founded in 1986, we have an excellent reputation in Central Florida, and we really care for our employees. That's not just a platitude - work / life balance is important to us and we want our employees to have happy, healthy families, as well as to enjoy their work as much as possible.

We are also a very high-tech firm, definitely at the cutting edge for the industry as we have software developers on staff that not only write custom software to service our clients, but also create tools for us to use that assist in the tax prep process. We do not tolerate drama, toxicity, or politics at Strombeck, and that has led to a super enjoyable place to work.
