This person is responsible for the growth, overall profitability, and success of the Roblar Winery estate tasting and restaurant program. This is a role that pushes the business to the next level with the mission to provide a best-in-class experience with a focus on growing (1) revenue across the DTC consumer channel, (2) winery memberships, and (3) profitability.
As the face of the brand this person maintains consistent customer engagement and thrives in a can-do environment. They are highly focused on providing superior service for all guests that visit the estate. This person gets their energy from creating a culture of hospitality, where training and accountability are front and center. They are focused on providing inspired leadership and are truly committed to activating the processes and solutions to provide unmatched experiences.
The Tasting Room Director has a critical eye for detail, delivers large doses of management by walking around, inspire all colleagues to be the best version of themselves, and drives pride in ownership.
Other responsibilities include:
- Leadership figure for all front of house staff
- Hiring, training and proficiency of employees
- Implementing policies and procedures for the food and beverage operation
- Generating sales, controlling expenses and hitting profit goals
- Creating and executing new wine and food programs for the estate as well as other experiences.
Experience:
- Proven track record as a manager
- Tasting room management experience
- Front of house restaurant experience in fine dining
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
- Restaurant Environment - constantly exposed to heat, high cold, slippery surfaces and appliances such as stove, oven, dishwasher, cooking top, as well as housekeeping and cleaning tools

DOE – this is a full time salaried position with health, vision, dental, CalSavers and life insurance benefits.
