The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for all aspects of the guests experience including conducting private and small group tastings, providing wine education and completing retail sales of wine. The Tasting Room Associate may at times assist with special events outside the Tasting Room for groups and for promotional purposes for resort owners and guests. This is a Sales Position as well as an educational one. Added incentives will be available based on overall sales results.

Once you've settled in at Carneros Resort and Spa, you may never want to leave. Luckily, you don't have to, with an abundance of Napa Valley dining options located right on the premises.
Our Executive Chef takes full advantage of the finest local, organic, and sustainably raised ingredients. Our culinary garden allows us to pick the freshest ingredients right on our grounds, and we craft our own breads, pastries, and charcuteries. What we don't make or grow onsite, we try to source within a 150-mile radius of the Resort for the ultimate in flavor and freshness.

Compensation Mid
USD $18.60/Hr.
Compensation Max
USD $22.32/Hr.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide great guest experience with a smile
- Host tastings in a traditional formal setting with or without small food tastings
- Host walk in guests for a variety of samplings
- Sell wine to guests and sign up guests for wine clubs when available
- Open and Close Tasting Room
- Work with Market Manager and Beverage Director on wine programming
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent education
- Minimum 3 years retail or Food & Beverage experience
- Intermediate computer skills
- Exceptional oral and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Availability days and early evenings and weekends
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
PREFERRED
- Previous Experience in Wine Tasting Room
- Luxury hotel, winery or retail experience strongly preferred
- California Wine Knowledge
