Job Description
SUMMARY:
This role will primarily be responsible for preparing beautiful cheeseboards for our Tasting Room guests. Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized Tasting Room Kitchen. The Kitchen Support will help with cleaning stems, plates, utensils, etc. and will occasionally assist the Wine Educators in the room with small tasks. Above all, each Brown Estate employee must act with passion, humility, and gratitude to deliver a welcoming, enjoyable and inclusive guest experience.
KITCHEN SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
- Prepare cheeseboards for guests
- Date label food and properly store in containers
- Quality check cheeses and food items on a daily basis and report to the Tasting Room lead
- Notify the room lead when kitchen items are running low/need to be reordered (inventory of kitchen items)
- Maintain the food preparation areas clean and sanitized at all times
- Carefully wash glass stems, utensils, plates, etc.
- Load and unload dishwasher
- Place clean and dry stems in designated Tasting Room areas
- Always maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Ensure that the kitchen operations run smoothly
- Have great communication with the Wine Educators, Tasting Room Host and Tasting Room Manager
- Stay apprised of expected daily Tasting Room visits through the reservations system and manager daily lineups
- Commitment to and consistent demonstration of Brown Estate’s mission, vision, and core values
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
Open to Full Time and/or Part Time. MUST be available to work Sundays.
