Job Summary
The Tasting Room Associate – Shift Lead is responsible for providing a positive guest experience in accordance with compliance requirements inclusive of federal, state, and all internal operations requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wine, possess strong leadership skills, and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- All Tasting Room features/services, layout, hours of operation, policies, and procedures.
- All tasting and menu items- preparation, presentation, and pricing.
- Rosenthal history, wines, techniques, and Tasting Room/vineyard programs.
- State liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Saturday & Sunday closing shifts including closing responsibilities, counting in/out cash drawers and ensuring end-of-day duties are completed.
- Lead and motivate the team during assigned shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service & product knowledge to enhance guest experience.
- Collaborate with Management and other Shift Leads to implement and enforce policies and procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally.
- Ability to handle emergency situations, particularly those related to intoxicated guests.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2+ year’s experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with a focus on wine service.
High volume, fast-paced environment experience preferred. Hospitality, Sales and/or customer service experienced is preferred.
High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
Food Handlers card is required.
Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
Proficient in English- verbal and written.
- Valid CA Driver's License.
- Must have flexible work availability.
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Salary:$19.00 - $20.00 +Tips
