Tasting Room Associate

We are a small, family run winery, striving to be the “friendliest” winery in Calistoga. We seek to provide excellent service in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Our tastings include wine only bar/patio tastings, sit down private tastings, and a five-course food and wine pairing. We also offer a small food menu that guests can order from to enjoy along with their wine tasting.

We are seeking a highly motivated, positive and energetic individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Associate. This position assists in all aspects of the guest experience and is an integral part of the winery team. Each Tasting Room Associate must be willing to take on an administrative role such as social media/graphic design, event planning or community outreach. This position reports to the Tasting Room Manager.

Duties include:

• Hosting groups of various sizes and assisting guests in making purchasing decisions
• Learning about our story, wines, and goals and effectively communicating this information to guests
• Working with the Tasting Room team to set up, breakdown and clean the Tasting Room and outdoor tasting areas
• Assisting guests with transactions through our point of sale system
• Assisting guests in making future reservations
• Stocking wine
• Taking food orders and running food
• Phone reception
• Glass washing/polishing and other similar tasks
• Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with club members
• Assisting management in the completion of administrative tasks as needed
• Daily duties around the winery and Tasting Room

Qualifications:

· Positive, service-oriented attitude

· Willingness to work closely with a team and assist wherever needed

· Demonstrate a professional demeanor in all circumstances

· Exceptional customer service and sales skills

· Ability to conduct tours and host small groups

· Computer proficiency (Mac and PC)

· Must be 21 years of age

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time.

· Retail sales experience a plus

· Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

· Able to work weekends and holidays

This position will have a set schedule with two consecutive days off per week. This schedule may change from time to time.

Hourly compensation, tips and bonus
