The Talent Management Specialist manages the full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external) for assigned positions.

Essential Functions

  1. Partners with HR Business Partner and hiring manager to determine staffing needs.
  2. Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone and/or in person), schedule panel interviews as necessary, administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings for assigned positions.
  3. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., and innovative solutions to identify and attract quality candidates to meet our hiring goals.
  4. Creates a talent pipeline of candidates that are engaged and can be placed into vacant positions as they become available.
  5. Advertises (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  6. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
  7. Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals. (10 fills bi-weekly)
  8. Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., clearance process, benefits & compensation).
  9. Schedules newly hired employees for Orientation and provides guidance throughout the onboarding process in order to ensure successful on boarding.
  10. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
  11. Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  12. Creates applicant folder for each hired employee in our HR shared drive with all relevant documents.
  13. The Recruiter will serve as an important resource in ensuring that recruitment furthers the agency’s goals of hiring skilled workers who will remain dedicated to our clients and our agency.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

Organizational Expectations

  1. Regular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundling’s and your department’s specific time and attendance policies and protocol

  2. Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the Human Resources field required.
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting required.  
  • Must be a self-starter and comfortable working independently. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within short deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout New York City using public transportation. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required. 
  • Knowledge of HRIS and other HR-related data systems is strongly preferred. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $68,544 - $75,844
