Job Summary:
As a Systems Security Engineer at Mercury Systems, you will be supporting the application of Mercury's industry leading secure hardware and software solutions to meet customer requirements. Work directly with Mercury's customers in a technical role to shape requirements to meet customer needs. Support solution development in tasks such as requirements decomposition, allocation and management, and verification and validation of systems components. Perform total systems analyses to evaluate alternatives, assess costs and risks, and supportability while collaborating with cross functional engineering teams. Ensures that systems are built, coded, tested, and implemented according to systems specifications.
You will be a part ofa dynamic, geographically dispersed, experienced, and highly skilled, full-service, rapid development engineering team. We all work together to deliver our BuiltSECURE product line which includes our Rugged Edge Servers and our OpenVPX subsystems to our Aerospace and Defense customers. We are an agile team focused on delivering innovative, high-quality products to our customers on time and on budget.
Duties Responsibilities:

• Managing requirements and decompose requirements in support of configuration baselines including allocation of requirements to architecture
• Performing system performance analysis and identifying potential implementation risks.
• Developing verification and validation plans with traceability to requirements
• Providing technical evaluations on how to most effectively map target market applications to Mercury's current and future products.
• Supporting program engineering reviews in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations
• Understanding the main concepts and applications associated with specific, specialized company product design
• Providing an accurate assessment of the scope of work for projects and accurate assessments of progress
• Generating major account technical proposals for both custom and standard products
• Understand and address cost, schedule and performance impact and provides trade-offs for programs decisions

Required Qualifications:

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with a minimum 3 years' experience as a Systems Engineer
• Aerospace Defense, Semiconductor, Medical Device, Communications, or related manufacturing industry experience
• Experience executing Systems Engineering principles and supporting traceability of requirements from architecture definition through validation
• Familiarity with server systems architecture and understanding how to optimize performance, SWaP-C (size, weight, power, cooling). Knowledge of Intel processor family characteristics as well as networking (Ethernet and InfiniBand networks.)
• Proficiency in hardware and/or software reverse-engineering and exploitation techniques, including common tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra, dynamic analysis tools, and proficiency in high-level scripting languages such as Python
• Travel to customer and Mercury sites of up to 25% will be required
• This position requires you to havean Active Secret Security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience validating, verifying, and deploying embedded Computing Systems and sub-components or rackmount servers
• Hands on experience developing inputs (Feature, stories) for Agile development execution
• Direct experience providing Data Items in support of US Government contracts and/or subcontracts with Prime contractors
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools
• Experience analyzing, decomposing, and allocating security controls into executable security requirements at the system, sub-system, and component level
