Populous is seeking a Systems Administrator with 5-7 years’ experience to join our IT team. The Systems Administrator role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
- System Administration of servers, software, networks, and audio-visual systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
- Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
- Tier II and supplemental desktop support as needed.
- Streamline maintenance tasks and maintain configuration standards.
Requirements For Success:
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware product suite
- Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP and appropriate troubleshooting and administration skills.
- Experience supporting modern iSCSI SAN storage architectures and data replication technologies.
- Experience using scripting (VBScript, PowerShell, WMI, etc.) or system automation tools.
- Expert knowledge of the Windows Server platform and operating system including installation, performance tuning, system security, and capacity planning.
- Experience managing Teams in a multi-site environment.
- Experience with Office 365 suite.
- Experience with SQL database with triggers, and stored procedures.
- Experience in security platforms such as EDR, Firewalls, and Security Monitoring.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
- Proven work history in an office or similar environment.
Additional details:
- Travel may be required.
- Occasional overtime may be required
Compensation:
- The projected salary range for this opportunity is $98,000 - $120,000 annually, and may be more or less depending on skills, experience and education.
