Job Summary
AMS Dataserfs, Inc is seeking a talented and motivated individual looking to pursue a career as a Linux System Administrator. We are seeking a candidate who has experience in Linux primarily managing configurations with Ansible, is a self-starter and eager to learn and work in a large, complex environment.
You will be working in a team that is responsible for maintaining a development environment for a fortune 50 company consisting of physical and virtual Linux servers, and Network Storage all connected through high-speed LAN or fiber network.
The basic scope is to maintain the hardware and software in our data center as well as support the clients that access the servers.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux servers across our operational environment.
- Develop and manage scripts and tools for automation tasks using Ansible.
- Provide end user support and effectively interface with customers to resolve issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot core infrastructure services including DNS, LDAP, NTP, and DHCP.
- Work collaboratively with the IT team to improve and expand our infrastructure.
- Ensure system security through effective configuration and access controls.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience with Linux system administration.
- Proficiency in automation with Ansible is a must.
- Basic understanding of networking and core infrastructure services (DNS, LDAP, NTP, DHCP).
- Experience with VMware products is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and comfortability with customer interaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $115,000.00 per year
