Job description

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to effectively provide support for Tier 1 and Tier II Service Desk operations as needed
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance and upgrading the workstations configuration baseline
  • Assist with the support, maintenance and upgrading of the windows servers/virtualization platform
  • Ensure endpoint devices and network printers are fully patched and that anti-virus software is up to date
  • Ensure that all client endpoint devices are configured with Full Disk Encryption (FDE) prior to issuance
  • Ensure that all IT infrastructure components are fully patched, and that antivirus software is installed and up to date per Agency policies
  • Ensure that software versions are current before deployment
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy or comparable ITSM ticketing system for escalations and queue management.
  • Experience in design, installation, and maintenance of Microsoft System Configuration Manager 2007 – Current Branch.
  • Experience in supporting Windows 10.
  • Expertise in SCCM Administration, deployment, packaging, and Operating System Deployment (OSD).
  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM client installation, software distribution, remote control, and other SCCM issues.
  • Maintain approved software for desktops, ticketing solution, printers
  • Maintain current baseline configurations on all workstations, and coordinate and document exceptions to baselines
  • Notify the appropriate contract or government personnel of any potential security incidents
  • Provide Microsoft desktop whitelisting support for all USITC software
  • Provide virus scanning and remediation services for client endpoints
  • Provide vulnerability resolution and remediation services for the operating system and applications installed on client endpoint devices within timeframes defined in USITC policies and contract SLAs
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for drafting, reviewing, and broadcasting SOPs, emails, etc.
  • Subscribe to and monitor for patch releases for all items on the software whitelist
  • Support and operate automated patch management and deployment mechanisms for all IT infrastructure
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years of experience in administration workstations and windows operating systems
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and other office software
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy or comparable ITSM ticketing system for escalations and queue management.
  • Experience in design, installation, and maintenance of Microsoft System Configuration Manager 2007 – Current Branch.
  • Experience in supporting Windows 10.

Overview:
We are seeking a System Administrator to join our team supporting US International Trade Commission's Information Technology Service Desk Support Services contract.

The contract provides and operates an integrated IT service desk (ITSD) and IT support services. These services support the current and future operational needs of the U.S. International Trade Commission’s IT users and their systems.
