IT Network Support Austin
The IT Infrastructure group at National Instruments is currently seeking an IT Network Administrator at our site in Austin, Texas US.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor global network equipment availability and health.
• Troubleshoot and drive to a resolution a wide range of LAN and WAN outages and performance problems.
• Maintain network equipment configurations with SW updates and HW refreshes.
• Execute deployments of new network infrastructure, configuration changes, according to defined project specifications.
• Interface with equipment vendors and service providers and manage service request escalations.
• Communicate and collaborate with a global community of end users and team members.
Experience Required
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Layer 2 and 3 network protocols.
• Extensive Fortinet and Juniper OS knowledge, Cisco OS knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Forti-analyzer.
• Experience operating wireless infrastructure based on Cisco and Juniper solutions is highly desirable.
• Cloud Networking experience is a plus.
• Aviatrix knowledge is desirable.
• Excellent written, verbal, customer service, and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work and think independently with minimal supervision.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP a plus.
• Be able to work after shift hours and weekends occasionally.
