Paragon offers a unique opportunity for a System Administrator to work on critical infrastructure as an individual contributor as well as an integral part of a team. The company has approximately 20 employees, which are mostly local to the North Dallas area.

- Be fully accountable and responsible for the IT infrastructure
- Protect critical information, systems, and assets
- Implement new software and hardware
- Provide training to users
- Develop an overall IT strategy
The successful individual will also create and discover innovative solutions to current and future issues, lead initiatives to keep pace with modern technology, and interact with users to facilitate efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, be able to work independently, and be fully responsible for essential IT operations.
Objectives of this Role:
- Maintain essential IT operations including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
- Facilitate reliable and redundant infrastructure to maximize uptime
- Manage vendor relationships to maintain licenses and contracts, communicate statuses and upcoming deadlines, and provide cost estimates and budget analyses based on current trends
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks including user and group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring, and ensuring system compatibility
- Monitor system health and respond to hardware issues
- Build, test, and maintain new systems as needed
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Function as the first point of contact for user requests to assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis, providing technical support when needed, and documenting issues in a knowledge base
- Perform routine audits of all systems including backups
Skill and Experience Requirements:
- Required:
- Windows, Linux, and OSX installation, configuration, and support
- Microsoft 365 including application support and account administration via Azure Active Directory
- Advanced working knowledge of cloud syncing applications - specifically OneDrive and Dropbox
- Knowledge of backup strategies, snapshots, and disaster recovery
- Access control lists, Permissions, and Policies administration experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the IT field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology or IT equivalent work experience

Work Location and Hours:
Work will be performed primarily in the office. Remote work is also available depending on the circumstances. This position includes after-hours responsibilities in cases of emergency, but the scheduled work hours will between 8 AM and 5 PM.
