Form of workSystem Test Engineer
As a System Test Engineer at Lunar, you will be on the front line of System Integration between mechanical parts, electrical boards, low level embedded firmware, and higher level application logic. This is a highly technical role requiring experience with integrated hardware and embedded software. You will identify and solve cross functional integration problems, and put in place hardware and software to perform automated system level regression testing.

On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely...
- Put together new hardware and firmware for the first time
- Solve integration problems and create automated system level regression testing
- Work side by side with your counterparts in EE, ME, FW, and Systems to release high quality features with extensive regression testing
- Ensure the system meets its requirements and this behavior is robust across all corner cases
- Create test plans and perform root cause analysis
- Define and implement hardware in the loop testing
Desired Skills:
- Ability to make things work, and a drive to break them
- Demonstrated excellence debugging complicated system level behavior at the crossroads of electrical engineering and firmware
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and the ability to smoothly work cross functionally
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Fluent in scripting/automation using Python
- Experience with hardware in the loop testing
- Able to read electrical schematics and embedded C code
- Experience with BMS, batteries, power electronics desired
- Experience with CAN, RF, PLC communications desired
- BS in CS, EE or equivalent

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $130,000 - $160,000 USD.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
