Job description
You will be responsible for the design specification, bring up, validation and deployment of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apple’s products through NPI and mass production. Responsibilities will be tuned to match the candidate’s technical background, but you may be encouraged to: Architect hardware for instrument systems, develop them, and maintain those systems through production Work with our mechanical engineering team to specify and validate the required mechanical fixtures & automation systems Develop, debug, and optimize automation software Analyze large amounts of data generated from your instrument systems and adopt data-driven approaches to solving engineering challenges Perform failure mode root cause analysis and resolution, debugging from the system level down to the component level Work closely with Apple EE, product design, firmware, operations, and logistics teams. Frequent interactions with CM/vendors and developing SOPs, debug instructions, documentation is part of R&R
