System Administrator

Overview

Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking a Systems Administrator to join its nationwide firm. The systems administrator will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting the firm's network, servers, and applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in a law firm environment, strong technical skills, and excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Install, configure, and administer network devices, servers, and software.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with network, hardware, software, and applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff.
• Document and update system policies, procedures, and configurations.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and external partners.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
• Five plus (5+) years of experience as a systems administrator in a law firm or professional services environment
• Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, SQL Server, VMware, and Citrix
• Familiar with applications used in a legal environment such as Microsoft 365, iManage, Aderant, Elite and NetDocuments
• Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
• Certification in Microsoft, Cisco, or other relevant technologies is a plus
