Position Summary, Job Requirements & ResponsibilitiesWhat We're Looking For:
If you are experienced in Windows Server Operating Systems and VMware then you will be excited about the Windows Systems Administrator on our Network & Infrastructure team. As a Systems Administrator, autonomously complete tasks, delivering significant value to the team team by providing administration and maintenance of the Iridium environments. Additionally you will work to provide highly available and reliable systems to support Iridium employees and business departments.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with day-to-day support and maintenance for all Windows hardware, operating systems and enterprise applications
- Accountable for maintaining server and security configurations in compliance with established best practices and established baseline configurations
- Support Administration of Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
- Assist with administration of VMware and of O365 including SharePoint, Azure, and AWS
- Ensure proper backup processes are in place to allow for full recovery of sites and documents
- Evaluate tools and applications relevant to the sites
- Maintain proper Change Control and Configuration Management processes
- Create PowerShell scripts to automate tasks
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly Windows system checklist with historical trending reports
- Work service requests and help desk tickets on a daily basis
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years of relevant IT administrative experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and ideas to others
- Have confidence and be able to easily build meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team
- Must be able to prioritize your tasks, be self-aware enough to identify and correct mistakes, and not be afraid to ask for help when needed
- Be active in seeking out ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge, and be enthusiastic in sharing knowledge with others
- Basic understanding of the supporting application architectures and the general application functionality running in the Windows environments
- General understanding and Administration of SharePoint Online and Project Online
- Familiarity with SharePoint development for site customization and applications
- Proficiency with all IT Operations Remote Monitoring performance tools
- Understanding of PowerShell scripts
- Understanding of Azure and other Cloud Platforms

We'll also need you to:
- Be on call
- Be able to travel up to 10%
- US citizenship is required
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
