Job Title: System Administrator
Location: Dallas 75081 (Hybrid: Remote/In-Office)
Travel Requirement: Occasional travel (1-2 times per month)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75-95k annually
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 hours daily
Start Date: Early to mid-February
Job Responsibilities:
- Server and Network Management: Maintain server systems, firewalls, hardware, and software across multiple locations. Configure and install Windows server-based OS.
- Windows Infrastructure: Oversee Windows server infrastructure, including Active Directory, SQL, and HYPER-V environments. Ensure a clear understanding of Windows Active Directory.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 IT assistance both onsite and remotely. Manage multi-tenant, data center hosting solutions.
- Data Management: Handle backups of data from servers as per schedules.
- Staff Management: Assist with staff onboarding/offboarding and provide relevant IT training.
- IT Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring efficient and cost-effective management.
- Problem Solving: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Vendor Collaboration: Liaise with third-party vendors for effective IT and facilities services.
- Documentation and Presentation: Maintain strong documentation and present technical information clearly.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Windows administration, including Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with virtualized environments (Hyper-V and VMware).
- Basic Linux/UNIX System Administration experience.
- Previous experience in a service provider environment is strongly preferred.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Professional experience and knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently, and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications.
