PenTeleData is looking for a Systems Administrator, a pivotal role focusing on the management and maintenance of our organization's computer systems and networks. The role involves installing, configuring and troubleshooting various hardware and software components, ensuring seamless IT infrastructure operation. Additionally, the Systems Administrator will handle setting up new equipment, conducting minor repairs, maintaining service records, developing training manuals and educating team members on hardware and software.
Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented, enthusiastic about technology and show a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
General Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain computer systems, servers, networks and peripheral devices
- Administer and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, software, Active Directory, DNS and Exchange environments
- Monitor system performance to ensure network resource availability
- Conduct system backups and uphold data integrity and security
- Collaborate with IT team for new technology solutions implementation
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Provide advanced technical support and respond to end-user issues
- Conduct system audits for vulnerabilities and improvement areas
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Liaise with vendors and third-party providers for system integration and support
- Manage patch management, security systems and data backups
- Set up and provision end-user equipment for internal staff
Qualifications:
- Established residency in Pennsylvania
- Valid PA Driver's License, good driving record and reliable transportation
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience
- Certifications: MCSA, VMWare VCP, CCNA, etc..
- Experience with LDAP, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience in project management and the ability to lead and guide IT projects
- Proven experience in a Systems Administrator role
- Working knowledge in Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud technologies, network protocols, security, and firewalls
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery processes
- A proven track record of punctuality and consistent attendance, demonstrating reliability and commitment to solid work performance
