We are seeking a skilled IT Site Administrator to join our team in Wixom, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our on-site network, ensuring seamless connectivity and functionality for our team of 50 users, including 10 remote employees. Experience in managing and maintaining a VLANed physical network using virtualization, installing hardware, configuration and working with vendors will be essential. They will report to and work closely with the VP of technology and will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and wellbeing of all software and hardware used by the employee base in the USA. They must be a problem solver, able to perform discovery and accurately diagnose issues. Clear communication and the ability to interact with a wide variety of personnel and skillsets is essential. Other responsibilities will be improving user base systems knowledge and recommending efficiency suggestions and optimizations. Additionally, they will be an integral part of the set-up and roll out of new systems as needed and on/off boarding of employees. This role is crucial to support our hardware needs and managing multiple SaaS platforms that are core to our business functions. This role will require the successful applicant to work on-site at the Wixom, MI office.
Essential Responsibilities
- Network Management: Oversee and maintain the on-site network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Address any connectivity issues promptly.
- Hardware Support: Ensure all team members, both on-site and remote, have the necessary hardware and equipment to perform their duties effectively. Manage hardware inventories and facilitate upgrades or replacements as needed.
- SaaS Platform Administration: Administer and maintain various SaaS platforms that support our business operations. Ensure these platforms are optimized for user needs and are integrated smoothly with our internal systems.
- Issue Diagnosis and Resolution: Quickly diagnose and troubleshoot IT-related issues. Implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption to business activities.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of all IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Prepare regular reports on IT system status, challenges, and resolutions.
- User Support and Training: Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff regarding IT-related matters. Conduct training sessions to enhance staff proficiency in utilizing hardware and software resources.
- Stakeholder Communication: Develop strong relationships with staff and management. Ensure open lines of communication so that staff feel comfortable reporting issues and providing feedback on IT services.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement of IT equipment and services. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
