Your Role and Responsibilities
Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment. The employee learns the business and develops professionalism.
  • Minimal or no experience required. Knowledge acquired from academic institutions. Requires ability to absorb professional knowledge and develop skills quickly.
  • Train to draw on professional concepts to collaborate with others to carry out assigned duties.
  • Learn to follow given procedures and processes to identify job-related problems, analyze causes using existing techniques or tools.
  • Work is reviewed for developmental purposes. Understand the standard mission of the professional group and vision in own area of competence.
  • Accountable for individual or team results. May contribute by supporting activities. Work output may impact customer satisfaction, or impact immediate costs or expenses.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
IBM will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future. Therefore, in order to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
