Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our team. The Survey Technician will be responsible for assisting in land surveying activities, utilizing various tools and software to collect and analyze data. The ideal candidate will have experience with Carlson, Revit, and other surveying software, as well as a strong understanding of GIS, geometry, and land surveying principles.
Duties:
- Assist in conducting field surveys using various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and utility locating devices
- Collect and analyze survey data using software such as Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, CAD, and ArcGIS
- Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and maps based on survey data
- Perform calculations to determine property boundaries, elevations, and other survey-related measurements
- Assist in researching land records and legal descriptions for survey projects
- Collaborate with surveyors and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in surveying or a related field
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and equipment
- Proficiency in using Carlson, Revit, MicroStation, CAD, ArcGIS, and other surveying software
- Familiarity with utility locating methods and practices
- Excellent mathematical skills with a strong understanding of geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and legal descriptions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

Pay: $20.93 - $25.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
