OSMS, a physician-owned orthopedic and rheumatology clinic in Green Bay and the Fox Valley, is seeking a full time Surgical First Assist in our orthopedics department to provide a high- quality experience for our patients. We are looking for someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with the ability to make people feel comfortable and welcome.

The Surgical First Assist works closely with surgeons in the operating room to facilitate their daily case schedule. They anticipate the needs of the surgical team during the operation, assisting the surgeon with tasks such as positioning the patient, identifying equipment needs, helping with exposure, stopping bleeding, closing the incision, leading the operating room staff in preparation, post-operative fitting such as casting and splinting, among other technical tasks.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• Call- Weekdays, Weekends, and Holiday's
• Between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm
• Full Time FTE (0.8-1.0)

Education and Experience:

• BLS CPR certification required.
• At least 2 years Orthopedic experience preferred.
• A post-high school program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
• Must pass a national certification examination from the Liaison Council on Certification for Surgical Technologists within six months of hire and follow continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
