Looking for a motivated and dedicated oral surgery assistant to join our oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic. Job responsibilities will include surgical assisting and all related duties (set up, check in, room clean up, sterilization, stocking, re-ordering, dental xray and CBCT exposure, IO scanning, ...etc) 3 days per week.
Additional responsibilities will include communication with referrals, treatment coordination and presentation of treatment plans, assisting with note taking and scribing, photography (intraoral and facial), and initiating treatment plans for dental implants. Computer and technical skills are necessary in this position to help with troubleshooting and updating software constantly to keep our equipment running smoothly. The applicant will be responsible for equipment and instrument maintenance.
There is tons of room to grow in this position including training and mentorship for the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification program (DAANCE). The person accepted for this position will be expected to become DAANCE certified within 9 months of starting the position (compensation by the clinic). The individual hired for this position will also be trained to become a dental implant robotic assistant- a unique opportunity and one of its kind in the state of Wisconsin.
The person who will be hired for this position will help shape the growth of this new clinic over the next few years.
Community Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the one and only clinic in the state of Wisconsin to use the Yomi robotic arm. The dental assistant hired in this position will be one of a small handful of people in this state to work with this innovative and cutting edge technology and will help shape the future of implant dentistry! Additional technology includes CBCT scanning, and intraoral scanning.

Benefits include paid vacation days, sick time, holiday pay, in addition to health care benefits (after a 90 day introductory period). After 6 months of service, the clinic will coach the dental assistant and pay for their DAANCE certification exam.
The work schedule is as follows: Tuesday 9:30-6:30; Thursday and Friday 7:30-5:30. Other days may be scheduled according to need and typically scheduled at least 1 month in advance.
The person considered for this position has to have experience in surgical assisting, they have to be flexible, mature, and able to work in a busy environment where excellence is demanded. They need to be a good team player and bring comfort and ease to our patients.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
