Surgery Scheduler & Prior Authorization Specialist

New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking to add a full-time Surgery Scheduler & Prior Authorization Specialist to our team. The schedule consists of working Monday-Thursday from 7:45am to 5:00pm, and Friday from 7:45am to 3:00pm.

Some of the Responsibilities include:

• Scheduling and coordinating surgeries
• Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility
• Processing all Prior Authorization in a timely manner
• Providing legendary customer service to our patients
• Effectively communicating to the physicians regarding their surgery scheduling needs
• Accurately tracking & documenting the surgery scheduling process from start to finish
• Backing up the front desk personnel, as necessary

The candidates we seek are patient oriented, have excellent communication skills (oral and written), enjoy taking initiative, work well within teams, and promote a positive work environment. Strong organizational & interpersonal skills are also critical for successful candidates.
