The Supply Planner is responsible for developing a supply strategy that ensures product availability in the most efficient manner for the business. This highly collaborative role will accomplish this through Material requirements Planning in both finished goods & components for both US & Canada. This position will interface extensively with the demand planning function, sourcing, purchasing, product development, marketing, and sales.
The Supply Planner will also contribute to system/process improvements and will be asked to creatively problem solve any business issues that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, prioritize & manage supply cycles for all assigned products and categories.
- Identifying supply risks and/or production capacity constraints and offering solutions to the business.
- Manage catalog inventory & execute inventory targets in both the US & Canada warehouse
- Create manufacturing scenario planning for any upside/downside on strategy
- Proactively communicates supply risks and opportunities to supply chain; especially customer-facing supply chain.
- Interface with various functional areas, such as manufacturers, shipping, quality, accounting, sales & marketing to resolve any supply, quality or logistic problems associated with in stock.
- Manage the MRP process & ensure correct production requirements are generated.
- Oversee component material requirement and collaborate with sourcing/demand planning on execution strategy.
- Investigate issues and inefficiencies across operation
- Document processes and information flows involved in reporting activities, analyses & decision making.
- Participate in and contribute towards, process improvement initiatives and goals.
- Validate data accuracy and work with IT reporting team to maximize system use & efficiency & participate in system upgrade efforts
- Collaborate with Ops. leadership on supply chain strategy and assure system resources are in place to support deployment within KPI targets.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of MRP and supply chain planning, ideally in an SAP environment.
- Knowledge of MRP system set up and deployment is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of system data cleansing with the ability to build reliable item profiles
- Advanced personal computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills required.
- Strong emphasis on attention to detail
- Experience with SAP is a plus but not required.
- Good communication skills; written, oral and inter-personal.
- Must handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Ability to work independently and employ effective time management skills.
- Must have keen instinct to identify risks and liabilities.
- Ability to translate analysis into actionable insight
- Able to establish structure & pursue information with minimal direction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- APICS certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years related of planning experience in operations, manufacturing and/or direct sales environment.

Pay: The salary range listed below is for work locations in the United States, with individual pay determined by several factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, and training. Salary ranges are determined in good faith by role, level, and location. As a remote-eligible job, salary ranges for specific locations will be provided upon request. #
Salary Range
$83,000 - $100,000 USD
Bonus: Additional compensation includes an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
