Why we have this role @ Koala

We are looking for a world class Supply Manager for the Americas as we grow our business in The USA. You will help us to build a diverse supply base that delivers better furniture experiences, designed with the world in mind. We are open to a contractor or permanent employee who will form part of the Global Koala Product Team; you will actively contribute to the development of the supplier strategy for North and South Americas, securing business results and supplier outcomes in your area of responsibility.

Requirements

As US Supply Manager you will...

• Build a supplier development plan that supports Koalas long term range plan.
• Identify and set up new suppliers that meet Koala’s high standards in quality, ethics, social responsibility and environmental management.
• Be accountable for professional and long term relationships with suppliers, developing a deep understanding of their capabilities to ensure alignment with current and future business needs.
• Lead and/or contribute to projects on behalf of Koala US.
• Work with suppliers to optimize production, delivering continuous improvement and improved profitability.
• Work alongside the Quality Compliance team to manage supplier due diligence and product quality expectations.

What you bring with you…

• The drive and energy to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Solution oriented and strong business acumen with the ability to work on a strategic level as well as sustaining excellence in daily operations.
• Good knowledge and understanding of upholstery furniture manufacturing and logistics and the cost-drivers connected to that.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to take and execute decisions, with a solid sense of accountability and initiative.
• Ability to understand the big picture and prioritize competing considerations.
• High-level attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and in a simple way.
