Job description
Job Summary:Under general supervision of the Assistant Manager of Materials Management, performs basic inventory control functions (i.e. maintaining required inventory levels, picking and packing orders), delivery of supplies and all other duties that support the activities and goals of the San Diego Blood Bank.Essential Duties:
- Must be able to adhere to the San Diego Blood Bank’s Standards of Excellence.
- In coordination with management, must ensure that supplies are available to meet the San Diego Blood Bank’s operational needs.
- Deliver (and stock, if needed) supplies to departments and satellite centers in a timely and accurate manner, in compliance with current policies and procedures.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for Mobile operations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for the Quality Control (QC) and validation of mobile equipment.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Must be able to accurately input data on various documents (e.g. Logs and reports) and run department reports as needed.
- Must have the ability to keep and maintain department files (paper and electronic).
- Must be able to maintain a clean driving record that is in compliance current company policies.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
- Must be able to assist with the coordination and filling of supplies / equipment for large signature drives.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts (i.e. hours / days) including weekends.
- Inspect supplies and equipment, upon delivery, for any defects and address any defects by following current company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to perform other jobs and duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on ladders.

Education, Experience, Skills:
Education:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
Experience (preferred):
- Warehousing experience (supply / product picking / packing).
Skills
- Basic Computer Skills (e.g. Excel, Word)
Certifications / Licenses:
- California Driver License
